The vineyards of Saperavi Qvevris are located in Vachnadziani, the unique microzone of Kakheti. The natural red wine is made according to the traditional Georgian methodology. Hand-picked and pressed ripe grapes are put into Qvevri along with stems, skin, and seeds for further fermentation and left there for up to three weeks. Unfiltered wine may contain sediment.
Test notes: Strong tannins, jammy purple fruits, blackberries, pomegranate, pepper.
This wine goes well with meat and cheese dishes.
